So was my besties wedding on Saturday. Exquisite day, beautiful bride, fabulous location - altogether an AHmazing day. Weather = 35 degrees and a beautiful blue sky. Location = Cosmopolitan Hotel, Trentham; garden ceremony under the 150 year old giant oak tree complete with a rose petal aisle, lanterns and tea lights; with the reception in the adjacent old wooden stables. Bride = vintage beauty, in a chic tea length lace fifties frock handmade by her *very talented* aunt - just incredible. A grey sash and matching satin pumps finished off the look. Food = divine; share platters for each table and the most amazing latvian apple wedding cake. Band = bluegrass/country quartet; originals with a few covers thrown in (Beyonce bluegrass style? FAB), danced the night away. As I said - amazing day. LOVE.
Sneak peek:
My outfit. I decided on a Winter Kate silk print maxi dress ($75 eBay. First time out and proved a winner; fitted perfectly, felt magical on with just the right amount of boho charm. LOVE); teamed with J.Crew coral bubble necklace ($25 - Ebay. Yes - it is exactly the same as the frequently worn turquoise version - but in a gorgeous coral with highlighting red beads. Both complemented and popped against the dress; finished it off perfectly). Other accessories included tan woven Country Road heels and a matching vintage tan clutch. Fab. Here it is:
Cant believe she is MARRIED. It is true love. Awwwwww.
