GUESS WHO BOUGHT THE BLAZER??

Thursday, May 3, 2012
So seems yesterday’s post re: the TOTALLY AMAZING Latopic blazer as worn by Ricki Lee on the Voice has spiralled; was shared on the designers FB page (see them here) and that post alone has now clocked up the second highest views ever for the blog (Vicky Pattison’s yellow dress is still up there as number one – seriously. It is bizarre).  Having been on the phone with the Birdcage Boutique in Adelaide (fb page here); well, actually my mother has been on the phone with them as I cannot call and hunt down gold sequin blazers whilst in the open plan office without looking a little bit suspect.  THANKS MOTHER – you are the greatest);  anyway – the Love Is sequin blazer from Latopic is getting posted over to me AS WE SPEAK.  So excited beyond words. And for only $199 – an absolute steal.  LOVE it. Call the team – they are lovely x

BUT – and this is not the most exciting part of the story; last night whilst couch sitting and block watching, my phone twitted.  It read - @TheRickiLee IS NOW FOLLOWING YOU ON TWITTER.  Me.  Following ME.  Being a fairly new and woefully inexperienced Twitter user I have amassed an enormous following of 47 tweeps – an number I was quite excited about.  But now, that number has skyrocketed to 48 with the addition on Miss RL herself.. word must have spread to her about that jacket post!  Fab.  She has 37500 followers, and I have 48.  What a match.  Now we can also be twins in our matching Latopic jackets.  Bet she is super excited at that prospect.

Here it is again for your viewing pleasure.

 OOOOOOOH.

In other nowhere near as exciting news, our hot water service called it quits sometime in the middle of the night.  Great.  Perfect timing really, as today was the coldest morning Ballarat has experienced this year so far.  Awesome – who doesn’t wish for a cold shower when it is 2 degrees and frosty outside.  NOT ME – that is who.  Horrible.   This was then followed by breakfast with alarming amounts of condensation on each breath, and a car that really didn’t want to start. WAH.

At least I have the most amazing blazer ever to brighten my day.

Moving on to today’s outfit.  Here.

Today I am wearing things that I bought or were delivered to me yesterday – so this outfit would not have been possible yesterday morning.  That is what I love about getting eBay deliveries just about every day – your wardrobe is constantly changing and something new and amazing comes along and how could you have ever lived without this before and then oh I am sick of that so Ill sell it to make cash and room for something new and amazing and the whole cycle starts again.  Life wasn’t mean to be dull findettes; and this translates over to your wardrobe.

SO today I am wearing a Navy and Cream striped shirt (NEW - $30 in store on sale Sussans.  As Sussans is the only decent shop in the glory that is the local Plaza, I often pop in to do a bit of retail therapy.  Found this little beauty yesterday; who doesn’t love a stripe and at that price it was definitely coming home with me), which is worn under the Zara star print blazer ($45 eBay – okay so I have had this one for a while but loving the stars and stripes mashup).  These are worn over the BRAND NEW Sass and Bide Husley Straits that were delivered to me yesterday ($35 eBay.  This is the punt that played off – they are super hot and fit perfectly, and they are a little bit cropped and love the small kick out they do at the bottom hem. FAB); and finally the Trenery tan spliced wedges which also arrived yesterday ($50 Ebay – fit perfect, heel height means I can run all day (which I do heaps of here at my desk) and the colours are so neutral and match in with everything).  And that is it!

DELIVERY:
Got the Sole Society tan woven leather clogs ($25 eBay), and the three CR tops I paid too much for.

Today is a great day!

FIFFY xxxx
