thurley coat introduction and a nude brogue or two!

Thursday, April 12, 2012
Okay so I didn't get a chance to post today.

Excuses excuses.. *work, new people, training, mistakes, fixing them, overtime... all the joys* oh but I won't bother you with all that lovely stuff.  BUT - I really, really, really, really and OH did I say I really liked my outfit.  I think it is definitely share worthy; so I just HAD to expose it to you all. I was hanging out to put me on display.

Here - what do you think?

So I think the reason I was SO EXCITED about today's outfit was the introduction of the Thurley coat.  For those of you not familiar with the most amazing market find ever (okay so I have made this claim a number of times.. to be fair and more accurate I should technically change it to 'the most amazing market find at the last Camberwell market I went to'.. as usually I do have a knack of finding amazing buys at most markets.  Even the Maldon antique fair (remember the flamingo? He still looks proudly over my desk each day) and the Belmont car boot market (vintage suede brogues anyone?)).  I nabbed this beauty at my beloved Camberwell market around a month ago - I saw it nestled between a pilling IDS tee and daggy bootleg Jag jeans.  Brand new with tags ($500+ anyone?) and just waiting for me.  And - and this is the very best part - it was $40. ONLY FORTY DOLLARS.  B A N G.

So today was her first outing.  It was a vey special moment; she fits and falls just beautifully and her caramel slash nude tones match in with everything... just divine.  SO - todays out: Thurley slouch 'Crombie' jacket ($40 Camberwell market.  Totally amazing.  Enough said), worn over a Trenery pearl and black contrast zip detail tee ($35 eBay.  Made from a gorgeous and soft rayon, and has a pearl coloured front and a contrasting black short sleeve and back, with a gold zip detail down the back.  Arrived yesterday - already a fave), worn over the fab staple Neon Blonde wet look jeans (yep they are back.  Had a break for a day and then straight back on.  Love em) and all finished off with the tan cutout Tony Bianco wedges.  Love how they shape the leg.  For the purpose of the pictures I had matched in a knotted skinny tan belt - but realistically in my office environment this is going way OTT.  For the sake of needless extravagance, I removed it.  Looked good though.

Felt super Olivia-ry.  Loved it.  Despite the day - mood was high and I was happy.   I tell you - outfits can change your life.

So can these vintage Nine West cream brogues I picked up today for a scream at $61.  Here:

Love that nude colour (what a surprise).  Wont they look grand teamed up with the aforementioned coat??

Definitely.
