plastic not so fantastic

So I also received in the post today a David Aubrey 'Equilibrium' necklace from Anthropologie.  My first delivery from their gorgeous retail store - excitement levels were high.    What do you think?

I had bought it to wear with a Winter Kate printed silk maxi to an upcoming wedding.  Honestly - I'm a little underwhemled. I have quite a few Anthropologie items (three super cute pencil skirts: one red and white print, one coral and the other jade green - all perfect for colour blocking) and love perusing their beautiful online store; but for me this necklace just doesn't live up to expectations. Wahh.  The small pic is the image from the website -  doesn't it look large and heavy and chunky and gorgeous? The main pic is the actual necklace, and doesn't it look cheap and plastic and light and average.  Bummer.

Looks like its eBayland for this little one.  Oh well.  Back to the drawing board... coral J.Crew bauble necklace perhaps?
