two dresses are better than one!

So today was one of those days when TWO items arrived at once – jackpot. Here is a hot tip – NEVER open a postbag with scissors.  Yes, the obvious reason for this is that you may accidentally cut your item (this pearl of wisdom stems from direct experience… apologies my darling Nookie maxi dress) BUT also ripping a hole in the bag with your teeth, followed by tearing it open in a frenzy makes the experience much more enjoyable in a purely animalistic manner.

Today’s arrival included a Lisa Brown black silk maxi dress (same as pic but without the top overlay – oooooh love and just perfect for an upcoming Noosa trip belted and teamed with the tan D.Co Copenhagen wedges I am also anxiously waiting on) $83 – eBay; as well as a Zimmermann whisper embroidered cotton maxi dress - $90 eBay. YES, you did read that correctly - $90. And new. WOOP.  Now this dress has been on my ‘most wanted’ list for some time – ever since I first spotted it floating into (ex) work on a past buying manager.  I was head over heels instantly; but sadly for me at that point it was still current season in stores – and at a cool $600 it was just a little over budget. Sob.  But now, only one year on, this amazingly beautiful piece of Australian designer fashion is finally all mine.  Just in time for me to not be able to wear it to work.  Fab.
