Today is Wednesday, and Wednesday is rain. Torrential 'I'm doing fabulous things to the white doona cover you put outside on the line last night' kind of rain. Great.  Thats going back in the washing machine. Thankfully, said rain also helped to lower the temperature overnight.. I think it was about 24 degrees in our uninsulated Victorian-era fixer-upper six hours ago when I finally made myself go to bed. Sweatbox much? Hours of sleep = oh about 4.

SO not feeling at all bright and refreshed this morning - BUT today's outfit should give me a bit of cheer.  

In yesterday's post I received the Oui Set mustard accordion pleated skirt ($25 - eBay).  Here is another tip - read descriptions on eBay C A R E F U L L Y. Otherwise you may be in for a nasty surprise (countless times have I put items in watch without reading the description - and then gone to bid, read said description 'has large hole in the back of dress' and thanked the lord I didn't click that 'confirm to bid').  In this case with the Oui Set skirt - I must have missed the 'maxi' part of the item description 'Oui Set accordion pleated high waist maxi skirt'. Hmmm - should have gone to Specsavers.  

So the skirt is quite a bit longer than anticipated - it falls to mid calf.  Its actually quite thick and has another layer underneath. I can't wear it high waisted as it is too big.  Not even 100% sure it is super flattering.  I think I may do some further research into Oui Set today - as even the tag on this baby is decidedly retro. I feel a bit like Sandy at the drive in... it has a real vintage feel especially when teamed with a Sportsgirl red polyester sleeveless shirt tucked in ($80 in-store Sportsgirl. I have three of these shirts (in different colours I must add) - can't get enough), a Witchery tan skinny belt ($40 in-store Witchery) knotted at the waist and Seed Femme tan vintage-esque clogs ($90 staff discount Seed Femme - LOVE these. But the sizing is a little strange - these are a 41. Im a 39. Yes). I think the outfit all ties together well - but what may look good on the floor in my spare room may have a decidedly different look on the body. 

So that is today.  Wednesday.  Thought I'd get in early, as the head honcho is in today and moi needs to look decidedly workish.
