pleased to meet you turquoise skirt.

Good morning findettes! Guess who is not feeling so bright and chirpy today… OH yes, that person is me.  Yesterday was quite a large day – 5 am start followed by a morning of store visits and comp shopping, then it was cramming as much work as I could into the remaining three working hours.  The it was then a visit to the hairdresser (blowdry anyone?), then dinner and a long overdue catchup with the oh so lovely Seed lasses; Japanese on Toorak Rd ensued. Fab.

All meant it had been a 19 hour day door to door for this little black duck.  Yay.

So yes I went to bed with no outfit planning in place for the following morning – but the look I pulled together in the 20 minute morning scramble is actually passable.  In fact – I am pretty darn happy with it.  Turquoise and navy/black look fab together; I don’t think you have been introduced to this skirt before.  Skirt – meet everyone.  Everyone – this is Topshop jade green paperbag skirt.

Here:

She is not new; oh NO she has been a part of the wardrobe room for around six months now.  I am in love. This is her:

Outfit: Topshop jade paperbag midi skirt ($55 eBay – super soft rayon, huge pockets, paperbag waist in which a self-tie can be interchanged for an alternate belt – what more could you ask for in a skirt??), teamed with a Zara navyish black star print blazer ($45 eBay – super cute wardrobe staple.  Goes with everything).  Worn over a Sass and Bide white and navy painted silk cami ($25 Take2Markets – could be a first for this baby as well? Cute print in easy to match colours).  Lastly have added in the tan cutout detail Tony Bianco wedges – so flattering on the foot and really help to elongate the leg.

Hair still looking fab after yesterday’s blowdry –  thank YOU Luciana at Shibui on Toorak Rd; it was just what I needed. Could this be a regular part of my working week? UM methinks the budget does not allow for this kind of extravagance. That luxury is reserved for the coiffed blonde David Jones shopping women with excessive gold jewellery and deep natural tans, who wear visors and play golf and go yachting on weekends.  Fabulous DAHling.  One day.
